Before Tape #8522, Ben Williams had been serving as Pastor Emry's Assistant. After Sheldon Emry's death on June 6, 1985, Ben Williams was officially installed as Pastor of Lord's Covenant Church and America's Promise Ministries.

***At the beginning of tape #8522a you will hear the announcement concerning the appointment of Ben Williams as full Pastor of Sheldon Emry's entire operation.***

**** Ben Williams and Elaine, who was Sheldon's wife, had a falling out. Elaine wanted to run the church with Ben as a mere employee of the board. When Ben got word of this, he resigned immediately. After his resignation on 6/8/86, the dastardly deed of trying to remove all traces of Ben Williams from the taped sermons began. Many sermon numbers were altered, removed, and/or placed out of chronological order starting in 1985. The following tapes replaced the Ben Williams tapes that were initially released above.
